Best Bride

One of the games at my shower was for two teams to decorate our mini brides and for me to select the best dressed!

 

  By the look on my face you can see I'm trying to decide but I know better to pick between these cousins--- yep both winners. I love it when everyone wins.

The Mail "lady" brings an exciting update

While our friends in Brazil and Australia probably haven't received their invite yet---The mailbox brought our first RSVP's. I was going to post the first but we have three early birds. Rest assured we are not getting married alone we have at least 10 people coming 😂... stay tuned for a better count.

I had such an amazing shower thrown for me today by Renee and Ivy with so many lovely ladies that I truly love. What a great shower of love and well wishes by a fantastic group strong beautiful woman. Thank you for your attendance, laughs and being by my side as I enter this new chapter of my life. I will post more pictures later but here is a sneak preview.

What had my life come to - it revolves around when We can put another clear coat on the bar. Waiting 6 hours between coats to dry is so painful.

 

Living in a Pinterest world,...

These ladders have potential to be a great addition to our ceremony stage. Stay tuned. I miraculously found a second that matches height of my old faithful ladder passed down from my parents and used for all my dyi projects from day one of the Cornelius house.  Tim jokes I buy two of everything- then it's two wooden ladders.  Imagine something like this in the garden.

 

Invitations are in the mail

DONE,... your officially invited.

Printed, labeled and shipped. This was a bigger project than Ivy or I had imagined. We were thrilled to be dropping them off at the post office this evening after two nights of work in preparing them. And we had full intentions to hand addressing them but after serious consideration, purchase of pens, tracing devices and internet research we decided the computers calligraphy font was prettier than either of our handwriting. You could be assured there is plenty of TLC that went into these.

We have a few lingering names that need address confirmation but we can now sit back and wait for the RSVP's to come back to us. 

How exiting the next 6 weeks will be to get the mail, exciting news from you instead of a mailbox of bills. PS did you see how cute the stamp is. Thank you Ivy!

Renee's dress came in and gave us a glimpse of what the ladies standing up with us on our special day will look like. So exciting,..

Late January we told 75% of our guest list to reserve 5/27 to celebrate our big day with us

Our wedding bands were purchased on Black Friday sale. Since I couldn't take my traditional shopping trip this year I found a way to spend I mean save money,...

White gold to platinum

We changed my band from white gold to platinum so I will never have to dip it. Just got it back from jewelry store and fell in love with it once again.

Now it's a party. We have approval for alcohol.  This is a piece of paper, but to get it we had to fill out an application, have it notarized, get an officially stamped copy of criminal background, attach copy of venue rental agreement and mail in with certified funds... but we passed and two weeks letter we got this permit. It should be printed on gold.

 

Bouquet is moms labor of love

Hmm wedding dress shopping

Since the groom to be could see this let's just say wedding dress is under way. Please say a prayer it comes out as expected. I took a poll and wedding party and friends voted for dress A. Leap of faith, here we go.

 

Visit to the venue

Feb 21,... mom, Ivy and I visited the venue and tied up some loose ends with the rental company.

I love it went a plan starts to cone together.

So busy planning we didn't take a group photo. Next time..
