Welcome appetizers are served

Thanks to my fabulous cousins for helping to prepare these Welcome appetizers the morning of--- so they are served as fresh as possible! Barb and Sienna are behind the scenes as our final food prep touches before the plates go out and servers! Couldn't have done it without them.
 

 

 

    

Live flowers

Being we are getting married with gardens around us we are not contributing a lot of floral arrangements ourselves.  These are sone live flowers for some centerpieces - they are much more fuller than I expected. Good issue/nonissue to have.

 

 

Things are getting hairy,...

Taylor has arrived promptly on time (actually early) and it's time to get the ladies hair started. Erin is on deck first to get glommed up! Not sure why I was making this face but you can see start of makeup as well.

 

  

Cake 🎂 arrived

We called at 6pm Friday to check on the cake and they just said they were starting it soon. It arrived promptly on time and looks amazing..

The only flaw is the weight exceeds the fancy stands limit we had planned to use, but my amazing friends improvised with extra flowers and set up a beautiful display.

This cake was prepared by Frosted Butterfly and it was the best cake I've ever tasted. Not only was it moist it was full of lemon and Sundrop flavors topped with a lemon frosting which was not too sweet but perfect finish.

 

 

Am I dreaming???

Having a vision is one thing, but watching your closest friends execute it is truly a dream come true!!!

Nooo not to back out of wedding silly, it's not too late for the popcorn. Scheduled for Thursday delivery and arriving with morning Saturday delivery direct to the venue. Yes the popcorn stand won't be empty... thank goodness. Nothing like tight timelines.

We have packed and packed and then repacked. Tim has arrived early this am and carefully packed the homebrew.

The day has arrived

The day has arrived! We went to bed at 3 after final food preparation so not a lot of sleep. BUT I could walk on water right now because I am able to marry my best friend.

The weather has changed again for the betttterrr---and looks like we will be married under Carolina blue skies!

Additionally I'm starting my day off with something dear to my heart but also my something blue and something old, a robe Grandma Smelkoff had passed on to me while I get start my day.

 

  

4 generations

Both Grandmothers on my side were able to journey down to enjoy our special day with us. So thankful for having them here tomorrow for 4 generations on both sides.

Grandma Pike 93 and a half she says and Grandma Smelkoff  87 and both looking and moving fabulously! Grandma Pike even got a few throws of the cornhole bag in.

Also here is the mother of the bride ready to go!

 

 

 

The night before!!!

After a day of chaos we had a very nice evening at my parents welcome and visiting with many from out of town.

The little ones are so excited for their part in our big day!

 

    

Pitching in

I felt so blessed to have everyone pool together and pitch in With decorations, packing, appetizer prep, slicing veggies and LEMONs, moving things! The traffic was horrible and really put me behind my planning curve.

 

One Amazing Day

Today is the final day before our wedding day. Ohhhh I have goose bumps typing that. 

The last several days has been a little insane and I've gotten side tracked between packing and the rain delays, so this is the last chance day.

Set up has begun

Set up has begun at Rosedale. They are a little behind on landscaping due to the monsoon we have had this week but the plan is starting to come together. These are the nuts for the nuts and bolts of our wedding.

If you need insight on where you will be Saturday this is it---plus tablecloths and yellow/silver decor.

 

 

Orange glow

With all these to do lists and rainy days there has been no sun bathing. So I got custom airbrushed spray tanned today- is it too much orange glow???

No JUST kidding, this is the bronzer you wash off after 2 hours and then look 👀 mostly normal. Don't worry I'm not 🍊🌞 this picture was just too funny not to post.

 

Bring on some pampering

A little time with the girls and kick my feet up for a massage before they do lots of running the next 2 days.
