Redo Saturday

No more redos please. Redo Saturday is not overly exciting.

 

I fixed wreaths to be exact same size at least and hour tearing flowers off and old form that hot glue does hold well.

And since the Jasmine I planted is done blooming yellow for the season we swapped out also which required new pots and dirt.... 

 

But score I got a lemon 🍋 tree out of the visits! If I planned  6 years in advance this wedding I could have provided all the lemons for our decor. Look how cute these buds are

 

Sneak Peek of the Dress,...don't show the groom

Epic day my dress arrived.  This is the only sneak peek of my wedding dress you will receive. Did you expect any less,...I ordered online sight unseen.  Those overseas really know how to impress with their packaging. I know I'm not big but look at this small bag. 😂🤣😅👰🏽

I walked around hilugging this bag with super positive thoughts before I had the courage to open it.

 

1 Month to Go & a Minute of Seriousness

It is amazing how far we have come from December 23rd when we signed the contract for our wedding venue. It feels like forever ago, yet seems like the world has been moving in fast forward.  We are now officially in the last month before veintisiete de mayo!

The to do list has shrunk to just a few odds and ends until we get to week of, the house and garage are cluttered from room to room with wedding decor and essentials.  I constantly ponder what have I forgotten??? Almost all balances have come due which is stressful and relieving all at once ~we are just about paid in full.  We have passed the date for RSVP's due and yet we get more in the mailbox everyday. More than before they were due 😂 bringing us very close to final number attending. Wedding flow, vows, music are now finalized. I sneak in any opportunity to try my visionary for new food recipes and wonder if I can make the dishes I've made a 100 times correctly when the pressure is on.  I realized how time consuming certain dyi craft projects really take- poofs, program fans...

 

Bridesmaids dresses arrived with no accompanying tears.  And last but not least #3rdDressStress, my wedding dress has arrived and with a few minor alterations it will meet my absolute expectations to walk down the aisle. 

I have nightly dreams about what happens on my wedding day. I am sure I owe about a million people apologies for flying off the handle these past few months and thinking selfishly. I hope with the next 29 days, the big things are behind me and I have less days of sitting on the ground crying everything might not turn about as perfect as I have dreamed of.

Regardless rain or shine, 1 guest or 100, perfectly iced cake or melting cake, exploding beer or mouth watering homebrew, yummy food or cold food... in 29 days I marry my best friend, my love, my crazy singing Arlo.

 

 

Mouth watering 🍿

Popcorn is on order for the PC bar.  Decided to go with a top brand that delivers just days before to avoid one last thing for us to worry with. How to pick between so many flavors, I hope we picked something everyone will enjoy. How to pick how much,... wedding decisions???

This popcorn will be mouth watering so you will keep coming back to the popcorn and adult beverage bar!

This was one of my wants from day one of wedding planning. So fantastic to mark off the list and see a plan come together. 

 

 

Cool yourself down!

You maybe happy we went the extra mile and turned the wedding programs into a fan,...just in case the day and ceremony turns out to be a sweltering one. You can cool yourself down!

But please fan with ease, no warranty on our gluing work. Big thanks to Renee and Ivy for their assembly line assistance tonight. We were so busy knocking these out, I forgot to take in progress pictures. 

We might have glue dots stuck everywhere on ourselves and the living room 😲

Someone likes the special brew designed with him in mind.... yes it looks a little darker doesn't it.  Wait til you feel that party in your mouth.

There Gose One

Okay we had some unforeseen issues with one of the special wedding brews.... Our thoughts are that we were a little over anxious with this one and bottled it  early.  Thank goodness for testing so this didn't happen to any of us in our wedding day attire :-)  1 out of 5 that need tweaking is not so bad.

All these hops, subtle flavors... We can't spoil it in advance but we have some real winners here.

Wedding Brew Taste Test

This is serious stuff,... lots of hard work and time went into our homebrew beers for the #harlowedding from What's Timmy Brewing.  So the final test comes down to the day we pull them out and check the progress.  Only one of each to leave enough for you.  Tim records our first impression of each while we analyze all the flavors.  And to get into the feel of the big day we had popcorn to clear our palette in between.

For the Love of Poofs

I can do a lot in 4 hours- mow the grass, laundry, dishes,... but it took a solid 4 hours to assemble these 36 poofs. Our production yield is LOW on the poof production line.

Thank goodness for Saturday nights & Redbox movies. I hope to find a way to string these up under the tent to bring some color to the big white space.

 

 

First online RSVP

The knot emailed me notification someone RSVP'd online. And even better they are traveling from afar to join us on our special day.  Any guesses?

Glam time

Someone should have told me sooner getting pampered was part of this wedding planning stuff. It's so much fun to sit back and relax while someone else does your makeup and hair. Bang your ready...just get dressed.

Eyes are a bit dark after looked photography. Next on the list  up do hair trial. Stay tuned!!!

Thanks to the future hubby, I hear angels singing because these doors are standing! Now back to Hobby Lobby for a few more decorations to finish off our entry way to the rest of our lives together 💋

 

Honey do list is getting shorter

We put a full day in of knocking out some final projects and had fun doing so.  Ivy was so kind to come over and pitch in. Look for JP's sign on the big day, Ivy put a lot of Tender Loving Care into it.

Wow this is real, we received our first wedding gift. 

Love this personalized throw received from a dear family member unable to join us next month.  Thank you, thank you and hopefully it will help Arlo remember our anniversary 😂😬

Live flowers

My heart was set on barrels but we found these great pots for live flower arrangements which we can use after the wedding as well.  We can add some final touch of bright yellow flowers in season at the time of the wedding. I hope I can keep these alive for 50 days.  Yes 5 -0 til we say I Do!
